About Lenny Ortiz

LEONARDO (LENNY) N. ORTIZ is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar.  Lenny has extensive experience in a wide range of construction claims and disputes  representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, and surety companies.  Lenny also has wide ranging experiences in civil litigation ranging from debt collection, contract disputes, and employment matters.  Lenny has lectured on various construction industry topics including AIA contracts, liens, construction defects, and subcontractor/contractor relationships.

Prior to entering into private practice, Lenny served as a Staff Attorney at the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee, Florida, from 2001-2002. Lenny received his Juris Doctorate in 2001 from Florida State University, where he was a member of the Moot Court Team and Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law. He also served as a judicial intern at the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court in Broward County, Florida. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University, Miami, Florida in 1998.
